We've got a guestbook if you'd like to leave your thoughts or comments, or you can get in touch with us directly through our 'Contact Page.' We hope you enjoy the site, as well as the film, and please, tell your friends about us. Or better yet, tell everyone about us.

What is Respiration?

Written in the spring of 1999, J. Michael Flack's script was originally intended for animation. Seeing strong characters and a compelling story, director Brad Robinson and cinematographer Courtney Weeks saw it as a great challenge and chance to collaborate together once again. Erin Druckenmiller jumped on as producer and Flack stayed on as sound designer (thank god!). To round out the production team, P. Gary Seith joined as associate producer, heading up the location shooting in Philadelphia.

Following Brad's release from the hosipal and recovery of a collaped lung (no seriously, it collapsed - he couldn't breath), Respiration's pre production began in September of 1999 and principal photography started in October, in Philadelphia. Filming continued throughout the winter and spring in both central PA and Philadelphia and the crew wrapped shooting in early April.

For more information about the film, check out our 'About Page.'

Who made the film?
Respiration was made by Xanadu Productions. Formed in 1999, Xanadu Productions was created by a group of film students, most of whom attended Penn State University. With a skeleton crew, minimal equipment, and a shoe-string budget, the filmmakers relied on thier creativity to bring the film to life.

To learn more about the making of the film and those involved in making it, check out our 'About' and 'Crew and Cast' Pages.
